The Nguyen Hue Flower Street opened on February 13 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 720-metre Flower Street is themed “Aspiration for a Bright Future”. The street has three sections: Spring in Ho Chi Minh City, Integration and Development, and Reaching a Bright Future

12 exhibitors with over 26,000 book titles are participating in the event along Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue and Ngo Duc Ke streets in District 1 and will last till February 19 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year). 

The festival also displays books about President Ho Chi Minh, the General Offensive in Spring 1968 and the development of Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City. 

The same day, Can Tho province opened the Mau Tuat flower street, themed “Can Tho welcomes Spring”, which will run until February 20th. 80,000 baskets of flowers are on show on a 300-metre stretch of Vo Van Tan Street in Ninh Kieu District.

“The flower street is organized for visitors. Flowers make the street more beautiful. I  always visit the flower street before going back to my hometown to spend the Tet holiday,” said Nguyen Hoang Danh who was originally from Dong Thap province and has lived in Can Tho for more than 10 years.
